1. Purpose

This document specifies the calculation logic, usage method and core formulas for the “Air Compressor Air Consumption Statistics and Comparison for Production Line” tool, which is used to accurately calculate the total air consumption of production line pneumatic tools, compare it with the total air output of air compressors, and evaluate the matching degree of air supply and demand.

2. Core Calculation Formulas

2.1 Total Tool Air Consumption

Total Tool Air Consumption=∑i=1n(Tool Quantityi×Air Consumption per Tooli)

  • Explanation: Sum the air consumption of all types of pneumatic tools (each type = quantity × air consumption per unit tool)
  • Unit: m³/min

2.2 Total Compressor Air Output

Total Compressor Air Output=Number of Air Compressors×Air Output per Compressor

  • Explanation: Calculate the total air supply capacity of all air compressors
  • Unit: m³/min

2.3 Air Volume Difference

Air Volume Difference=Total Compressor Air Output−Total Tool Air Consumption

  • Explanation: The difference between air supply and demand (positive value = surplus, negative value = shortage, zero = exact match)
  • Unit: m³/min

2.4 Compressor Utilization Rate

Compressor Utilization Rate=Total Compressor Air OutputTotal Tool Air Consumption×100%

  • Explanation: The ratio of actual air consumption to total air supply capacity (0% if total output is zero)
  • Unit: %

3. Usage Steps

3.1 Basic Configuration

  1. Tool Configuration Section
    • Enter the name of each pneumatic tool type (e.g., Pneumatic Wrench, Pneumatic Sander)
    • Input the quantity of each tool type (minimum value: 1 piece)
    • Set the air consumption per unit tool (minimum value: 0.01 m³/min)
    • Add new tool types by clicking “+ Add Tool Type” button
    • Remove unnecessary tool types by clicking “Remove” button (at least one tool type must be retained)
  2. Air Compressor Configuration Section
    • Input the number of air compressors (minimum value: 1 unit)
    • Set the air output per compressor (minimum value: 0.1 m³/min)

3.2 Calculation Execution

  • Click the “Calculate and Compare” button to generate statistics results
  • The system automatically recalculates all values when the page is first loaded

4. Result Interpretation

4.1 Result Table Items

4.2 Status Description Rules

ConditionStatus DescriptionColor Indication
Air Volume Difference > 0Air compressor output is sufficient (Surplus X m³/min)Green
Air Volume Difference = 0Air compressor output exactly matches the demandCyan
Air Volume Difference < 0Air compressor output is insufficient (Shortage X m³/min)Red

5. Data Validation Rules

  1. All numerical inputs have minimum value restrictions to avoid invalid calculations:
    • Tool quantity: ≥ 1 piece
    • Air consumption per tool: ≥ 0.01 m³/min
    • Number of air compressors: ≥ 1 unit
    • Air output per compressor: ≥ 0.1 m³/min
  2. At least one tool type must be retained (system will prompt if attempting to delete the last tool type)
  3. All non-numeric or empty inputs are treated as 0 in calculations
  4. Calculation results are rounded to 2 decimal places for precision

6. Example Calculation

Input Data

  • Tool 1: Pneumatic Wrench (5 pieces, 0.2 m³/min per tool)
  • Tool 2: Pneumatic Sander (5 pieces, 0.2 m³/min per tool)
  • Air Compressors: 3 units, 1.0 m³/min per unit

Calculation Process

  1. Total Tool Air Consumption = (5×0.2) + (5×0.2) = 2.00 m³/min
  2. Total Compressor Air Output = 3×1.0 = 3.00 m³/min
  3. Air Volume Difference = 3.00 – 2.00 = 1.00 m³/min
  4. Compressor Utilization Rate = (2.00/3.00)×100% = 66.67%

Result

  • Status: Air compressor output is sufficient (Surplus 1.00 m³/min)
  • Compressor utilization rate: 66.67%
